How we going to start this? This is for Charlene Mars. I'm not sure if I've gotten the right person or not. I'm calling from the city of Chicago Law Department. Uh, I understand you were trying to get through on on uh over the long weekend. Um, and in any event, there are 3 things you can do if you want money for demolished property if we're just talking about a little bit of money the Alderman's committee on finance and I'm surprised you're Alderman didn't mention that to you. Um, all right, so and I see that there's not Many there's not there's no black Alderman that's in here. There's 2 and 1. He's the reason why my building is demolished. But this is the reason why there's so many issues in the Southside west side with our businesses being closed and all that because of deceptive practices such as illegally eminent domain like they knock down my mother's building with no compensation and with no help with the alderman the Alderman's majority of the black Alderman's with the help of the black clergy and with white private developers still are properties in the in the south side and West Side communities and nothing happens to them. So I'm going to continue to come down here until my until the judge rules on my federal case and until David Moore acknowledges that he messed up and that he'll that he needs to make this right what she can make this right? But if he makes this right The Floodgate will open up for all the other uh, buildings that they have knocked down on the south side and the west side, so I'm not going to give up. This is my first meeting of the 3 today and I'm going to continue to play this voicemail because that came from the law department and the Law Department. There's 3 there's 2 other things 1 is the file the federal lawsuit which we did the first 1 was if he would have done what he had to do back in 2017 when they first knocked this building down by taking this and putting this with the Committee on finance I wouldn't be here. But now that I know all of y'all I will continue to come down here and fight for the property and my generational wealth that the city of Chicago with the help of David Moore the messed up clergy and white private developers do in our community and take our properties and knock them down or take them for delinquent taxes or illegal foreclosures or probate or anything else and know that we don't have the knowledge to fight back, but I do so, that's it. Thank you. Have a good 1. Thank you for your comments. Next up. We have Denise Goring. Hi. Again, my name is Denise Goring and I guess I am at the right meeting. Didn't know I was going to be here at licensing. Well, I lived downtown 400 East Randolph and you guys I want you guys to really look at who you're giving licensing to from Michigan Randolph, and I'm not sure how far down there and it's a mess trucks vendor trucks and then the these stands so I don't know if they need a license to operate these stands or not. But the area is a mess. It looks like I'm in some kind of Slum area. Please pay attention to these vendors and make sure you go down there and look and make sure they have a vendor license. I don't know what kind of license you need if you need 1 at all, but if you don't need 1 I think you need to go and clean up downtown area. Thank you. Thank you. Um, I've you know, I applaud my colleague for extending the no paddling boundary, uh within the ward, um, however my experience with bacp in the last several months is that they're not properly enforcing, uh, no paddling zones or checking to see if folks are properly licensed to V. Um, we see this play out every day, uh on upper Randolph Street and along Michigan Avenue in front of Millennium Park. Um, there are dozens upon dozens of unlicensed vendors who are selling food products who are not being inspected by public health. We're not being cited by the ACP and I think at some point in the future we need to hear from those departments as to why they're not enforcing our code. It sends a message to everybody in the city that lost don't matter. And we have folks who pay a lot of money for the privilege of being a Park District concession are in Grant Park just feet away competing with folks who are likely selling unsafe food products not paying taxes and are certainly not licensed. And so, um again, I wanted to use this opportunity to flag that through my colleagues, um, despite our best efforts to regulate these activities. We can only depend upon the Departments for enforcement and they need to step it up. And if they don't we're gonna have a really long conversation about it during the budget hearings this fall. Because maybe they don't get the same budget they need. Thank you chairman. Thank you Alderman, Reilly. Alderman spazer moves to pass all in favor. Say I I any opposed say nay.
