The first item on the agenda is the approval of the rule 45 report for November 2023 and December 2023, which was sent out to the committee. Next on the agenda is oh. 2023 Dash zero zero zero 6437 an ordinance to amend the municipal code of Chicago designated the 21st Precinct of the 13th Ward as restricted residential Zone prohibiting additional shared housing and vacation rentals. This is in alterman Quinn's Ward and the chair recognizes Alderman Quinn. chair, um This is the last Precinct of the 13th at Ward that will be covered under the the band to um, put a stop to Temporary house and room rentals. Um 25% of the signatures of the precinct 21 were captured actually the number of fire exceeded that so I humbly ask this committee's, uh, I vote in support of the ordinance. Thank you. Congratulations. It's it's only taken me 7 years. And how long do those stay in effect? 4 years its sunsets every 4 years every for you. Um last The last council meeting. Ugh chair recognizes Alderman Moore. Yes, thank you. Um chairman. I just asked that the committee, uh, approve this item. Uh, this was a Walmart. Um, when they came um there when I got they were there before I got uh became Alderman and when I became Alderman as they were trying to make sure that they stayed um competitive. Um, they asked um to sell packaged Goods which was approved. Uh, we the community agreed and they they actually took a um, vote got signatures and um lifted the moratorium and um, that was also a way that we were able to keep Walmart. You know, they are for some time. Hopefully they could continue to stay there during some of these challenges, uh from an economic standpoint and the community as that we put that moratorium back so they can help more control over. Um, any liquor establishments or anything coming to that war? Uh, next up is 02023 Dash 0000000 303093 a substitute ordinance to amend the municipal code of Chicago designating precincts of the 23rd Ward as as restricted residential Zone prohibiting additional shared housing and vacation rental and Alderman. Tobar's Ward. Um Alderman flow recognizes Alderman this um designates that Precinct know this is a substitute. I'm sorry. Yes. Um, so um, We'd like to make a motion to accept. Uh, which is 02023 d z00 z 5820 and 02023 D 0000058 222 ordinances to amend the municipal code of Chicago designating precincts of the 23rd Ward as restricted residential Zone prohibiting additional shared housing and vacation rentals. Chair recognizes again alderwoman tabaris know. Yes again. This is uh, another ordinance to to ban shared housing and vacation rentals in the 23rd Ward, and we asked the committee for support. Next up we have 02023 D 0000000 5831 and ordinance to amend the municipal code of Chicago designating the 8th Precinct of the 23rd Ward as restricted cannabis zones. We uh collected um signatures from residents to banned, uh, cannabis dispensaries or shops on in this Precinct because this Precinct is on a Archer Road Archer Avenue, so it's a busy street where there's a lot of economic um businesses on this trip. So we wanted to ban, uh dispensaries from coming into this Precinct and we're asking the members from the committee for their support. any questions alderwoman clay moves to pass all in favor. Now we are moving on to item number 8, which is 02023 D 0000051 06 an ordinance to amend the municipal code of Chicago lifting subsection 4-6 parentheses 33.152 to allow the issuance of additional package good license on a portion of Albany Avenue in alderwoman Rodriguez Sanchez's Ward. chair recognizes Abraham Hi, yep over here. Hi chairman and committee members, uh, alderwoman Rodriguez Sanchez introduced an ordinance lifting the packaged Goods moratorium on Montrose Avenue on October 6th. Uh, this is allowing businesses to apply for packaged good licenses from the area of kadzi to Sacramento on Montrose. Um, the ordinance was taken through a community-driven review process with a majority in support of the moratorium lifts. Well, I think you are doing the second 1 first. We are the 1 AP. Yeah, that's for Albany, right? Yeah, so uh on October 6th as well though, uh Rodriguez Sanchez introduced the ordinance lifting the packaged Goods moratorium for Albany Avenue from Lawrence to Wilson, uh, this allows businesses to apply for the packaged Goods licenses from the bacp. uh, we also held a community-driven review process for those uh, both hybrid and in person and we are we received the majority support from community members in lifting that moratorium and we are requesting the committee support as well. Okay, and um before we vote or we'll just vote on it together. Um, we have ordinance 02023 Dash 0000051 07 and ordinance to amend the municipal code of Chicago lifting subsection, 4-6-0 023 parenthesis, 33-7 to allow the issuance of additional package good licenses on a portion of Montrose Avenue. This is an alderman Martens Ward, um and the chair recognizes Alderman mark Thank you chair. Um, we have an establishment in our community. Geo's barbecue bar and grill located at 4857 North Damen, uh, long-standing and uh, well liked Bar and Grill that is uh changing ownership. Um, and so we are requesting that the moratorium be lifted temporarily to allow the new owners to obtain Tavern license both, uh, the Ravenswood neighbors Association and the local Chamber of Commerce greater Ravenswood are supportive and would ask for this committee's favorable consideration.
