We thank you. thank you for the opportunity to discuss the proposed collective bargaining. collective bargaining agreement between the city of Chicago and the public service employees unit unit unit 2, which is comprised of SEIU, Local 73 and ibw Local 21. This bargaining unit represents approximately 1300 full-time non-sworn, Public Safety. non-sworn, Public Safety employees across 5 City, departments, including the police. departments, including the police department, oemc Finance Ave, Finance, Aviation and animal care and control. We believe that is the best deal possible for those employees in the units, as well as the city for the reasons that forth below the terms of this. terms of this agreement are very similar to that which we extend into our civilian Workforce. That's represented the term is July. 1 2022 through June 30th 2027 To be effective upon ratification by the burgundy unit. And And this Council the bargaining unit has approved this agreement. agreement for the wages. The structure is identical. agreement for the wages. The structure is identical and that effect of 712022, there will be a 3%. that effect of 712022, there will be a 3%, wage increase effective 11123. effective, 11123. A 3% wage increase effective 11120. effective, 11123, a 3% wage increase effective 111204. There is a range between And 5% depending on the CPI, you the CPI, you dict? And 5% depending on the CPI. You the CPI, you dictates that that increase was 3% effective. that increase was 3%, effective, 1, 1 125 the same structure between 3 and between 3 and 5 depending on CPI and it is a 3%. between 3 and 5 depending on CPI and it is a 3% increase because of what CPI was effective 11126 between 3 and 5 percent. percent and lastly, 1 127 3.25. percent and lastly, 1 127 3.25%. Other terms that are very similar to what you've heard in our other bargaining units include assigning bonus. That will be a pandemic. Pay signing bonus that signing bonus, that will be paid in 3,000 and 2 installments. We're going to increase the third compensation match in effective. compensation match in effective 11124, we'll contribute a $1.50 for each. $1.50 for each dollar, contributed by employee each employee up to a maximum employee up, to a maximum of 750 per year. And in 1127, we're going to do going to do the same thing but it will be a $1.75 for each dollar. dollar contributed up to 875 per year. We also each dollar contributed up to 875 per year. We also extended the pay per rental. Leave the June teams holiday made adjustments to the salary schedule. Uh, so that those with 26 years of service will receive another increase.
