Uh, we were here, actually all 4 items together but we vote on them individually. Are there any questions or comments for, um, either of the the reappoint or the appointees? so we got to ask 1 question, I ref So we got to ask 1 question, I refuse to move on without 1, question being. There. All right. Since oh, there we go. I'll ask a question. All the woman lie. This was staged, actually. I gave her. This was staged, actually, I gave her the question. All the woman. All the woman leave. It was a big old setup. Um, I I appreciate uh, everybody's uh, willing. I I appreciate uh everybody's uh, willingness to continue to serve and serve newly here. Um what to serve and serve newly here. Um, what do you? What do you see as the biggest challenge? Um, but before all of you as a board as we go into, you know, this board as we go into, you know, this next term for you, Um, so I'll start. um, so I'll start and and you know, as for me, you know, my lens sitting on this board really is 1 of um you know, lens sitting on this board really is 1 of um you know fiscal prudence and um support for critical projects and and so we've, you know, and so we've you know put before this board um the city council, a couple of times that you know, we have gone down to Springfield for specific uh, changes in the down to Springfield for specific uh changes in the law to support additional Revenue. New into this fund because it does, uh, support so many critical. critical Services. Um, and in particular, you know, the, um, Uh, implementation of 911 NextGen. Uh, implementation of 911. NextGen is a state requirement. It's a good requirement because it'll allow the work that our 911 call center. Does our 911 call center does um to be that much better in. our 911 call center does um, to be that much better in uh, getting resources to um, those that need it quicker, but it is it's costly. And um, you know it is is it's costly. And um, you know, it is used by, you know, those in the city of Chicago. And while we were successful in making sure that the 911 S charge was extended through 20. 2029 or 2028. I can't, I can't remember. 2029 or 2028. I can't, I can't remember what the the 3 date is. Um, there are other parts of uh State statutes that we we'd like to change in order to ensure that the city is receiving, uh, sufficient Revenue. receiving, uh, sufficient Revenue to support the 911 operations, um, while we haven't been successful, thus far, it is something that we continue to lobby for in Springfield, um, and that is to make sure that those that are, you know, using cell phone services are being treated. equally. um, under our state statute so that um, under our state statute, so that our 911 surcharge can apply to to, um, those, um, Communications. apply to to, um, those um, Communications. So that is the thing that I'm most concerned with, because the cost of providing these Services, um, don't stay sa stagnant, they they increase, um and we should make sure that we have the necessary resources to support that work. Thank you. Anybody else? I can pick it back off of, um, I can pick it back off of um director Guzman. Um working at 911 right now. We're actually working on the at 911 right now. We're actually working on the next gen 911 uh, system implementation. So uh system implementation. So uh, seeing firsthand is how our current system operates and current system operates and as well as the as more efficient that the new system will. I think it's encouraging to be a part of this board and and just to know that what the Citizens need and how how quicker or how more efficient it will be once the system is implemented. implemented. Um, so we're having a Target go hopefully by the end of this year. this year. Uh, you know, but the the biggest hurdle that I see right now. see right now with this, it's just uh, training all of the employees to make sure. employees to make sure they're a breast of the new system. I mean, we have like, 500 plus I mean, we have like 500 plus employees at oemc right now, so just getting everybody. Add at oemc right now, so just getting everybody. Adequately trained will be a challenge, but something that we can definitely rise to the occasion. Because again, our Focus will occasion because again, our Focus will never deviate from First Responders safety and citizen safety. safety at the end of the day, Thank you. You're welcome. Thank you.
