Good morning. The Committee on License and Consumer Protection will now come to order. We will begin with a roll call to establish quorum. Chairman Silverstein is President Vice Church Chico. President Alderwoman Coleman Alderman. OSHA Alderwoman. Scott Alderman Cardona. Alderman Wba. Present. Alderman Conway. Alderman Viegas Alderwoman Mitts. Alderman Spto, sir. And Happy Birthday, alderman Napolitano. Alderman Riley Alderman Lawson. Alderman Gardner Alderwoman Clay Alderman Martin. There are nine members present. We have a quorum. Can I get a motion to recognize Alderwoman tabba Alder. Oh, oh. Okay. Alderman Moore as part of a quorum. Yes. Martin. So moves all in favor, say aye. Any opposed, say nay. Uh, alderman Moore, are you there? Yes, chairman. Thank you. You're now included in the quorum. At this time, we'll begin public comment. Alderman Gardner is via Zoom as well. Thank you Alderman Gardner. At this time we'll begin the public comment period. The period is limited to 30 minutes. Um, I do wanna just review some of the, uh, rules of conduct and we'd also like to recognize Alderman Riley, um, and Conway and Alderman Conway's here as well. Um, before we begin the public comment, I just wanna review some of the rules of conduct. Uh, there will be no profane, vulgar, threatening, abusive, or disruptive language. There'll be no demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behavior. There will be no disruptive behavior, um, including that Mr. Blakemore. And also, uh, remarks should be limited to the subject matter appearing on the agenda and the individuals must remain seated. Uh, the first speaker is Michael Young Boy. That's not a young boy, Mr. Blakemore. We're gonna ask you to be quiet or we're gonna ask, uh, you to be removed. That's your first and only warning is Mr. Young Boy there? Young, young Bay. Young Bay is Mr. Young Bay here Because you out here you talking about the behavior and things like that? Yeah. Uh, I don't know if you can read. You have Three minutes. I know how many minutes I have. I can comprehend. I wonder, can you, you know, because evidently you've been hearing my name come across here for over a year now. So you should know my name, what you do by heart. 'cause you can recognize Mr. Blakemore name. You can recognize Mr. Jackson. Now your Three minutes has started. Recognize my name. You know, and you do things like that because you ignorant. You know, so people that with common sense and with some kind of decorum and respect or you know, about they selves, they don't do things like that. Especially if they're a chairman and they chairing the board. You know, you, you don't, you don't do that. I done been chairmans before, so I know it's crazy that people continue to come down here and they be disrespected. You know, you talk about harassment, you do know what harassment is, right? So the last time I spoke at a meeting, I told y'all about my name. Don't play with my damn name. And I mean that if, if I got a result to ignorance, I will. Because my name is also a part of my heritage. My name is also my religious freedom that you can be violating. See some of y'all claiming y'all lawyers and things like that. Lemme put you on the law of harassment while you spoke of harassment. You know, once somebody tell you what their name is and you continue to call 'em something else, that's a form of harassment. You do know that, don't you? You know, I may came up, up here and, and, and made noise, holler, cuss, get into it, et cetera because of what's going on with my family intentionally. But I'm not ignorant. I'll go down there and put that sexual harassment on your ass. And, and, and I and yes, I had to say it like that for the record because that's wrong. I ain't calling nobody out they thing and don't you do it with me. And I mean that, I don't care who you is. I fear nothing. But I lie, I don't care if you in the mob a gang or cult or any of that. I fear nothing. I come up in my, in my life in Cabrini Green, fearing nothing. I was raised as a child of fear, nothing. So don't play with me like that in that matter. And I mean that, that go for every person in this room, in this room, and every person that see this video. 'cause I will die for mine. This ain't no clown stuff. So you better check yourself for you wreck yourself. Um, I think we're gonna go back. We do need a motion to allow Alderman Gardner to be remote. So Alderman Conway makes a motion. All in favor say aye. Any opposed? Um, alderman Gardner, you're here as part of Quorum. Thank you. We also wanna recognize Alderman Burnett. And did I miss anybody? Alderman Viegas is here as part of Quorum. We set Alderman Riley. We're gonna go on to the next speaker, which is George Blakemore. You have three minutes. Good morning. It's, it's a sad morning in, in the city of Chicago to, uh, hear what's going on here in City Hall. She knows this gentleman name. She knows his name is Young Bay. Why would she do that? Why? Why would she even make a statement that, uh, uh, reading the rules, these rules are, are illegal too. It's something inherently wrong here. It's corrupt fraud and abuse here dealing with business life, liquor life. How many black people in the city of Chicago have liquor life? How many of them have, uh, marijuana life? So evidently it's something wrong with black people too, because we have to teach these people how to treat us business dealing with life. So, uh, the Jewish people own a lot of business and they got money. Mr. Blake. Mo, you're supposed to be staying on topic here, Talking Black people. You're supposed to be staying on topic. And I'm talking about liquor license. You don't threaten me. I'm, I'm Jewish too. I told you before, that's a religion and it started in Ethiopia. You don't have a monopoly. All these religions are founded by black, the thought of the black man, the Islam, Hindu, all of them. So don't play that card with me. Carry someone to someone else. You see, ma'am, you, you and I had that before. I can say you don't, you know about Ethiopia and, and and the Black Israelites. Mr. Blakemore, can you just say what you came here to talk about, please? I'm talking about business people. The Jewish merchants here. They got a lot of 'em with liquor license and other license. They got a lot of them. So I encourage my black brothers and sisters on this committee make sure our people and wonder why our people don't have liquor license, don't have, uh, dispensary life, don't have business license and affair. This committee was, uh, chair before by Honorable Emma Midst. And she never treated us like this. And we are not going to accept it from you or nobody else. For several years she chair this committee. She would never do that. Never. So you got the right one this time and you got but, but I'm glad my black brother, Law, law, we need this. And I'm with you too. A black you Jessica Jackson, you're next. Understand that I understand my constitutional rights. I have the first amendment, freedom of speech. I do not have to talk about what you Silverstein wants me to talk about. I talk about what's in my mind. I talk about what's on my brain, the one that God gave me. And it don't have to be ran past you. If you can talk about your people and your struggles, watch us talk about ours. If you don't like it, do what you usually do. Get up and run out. But you don't control this. You don't control our constitutional rights. The 13th, 14th, and 15th amendment is ours, not yours, ours. And we do whatever we want to with it, including exercising our freedom, freedom of speech. Now you need to get that right before you go reading our rules that don't apply to none of us in here. Apply 'em to yourself. Now, next topic. Y'all wanna say that Trump or the Republicans is paying me or paying other people to be in here. Do you really think that Donald Trump got to pay me at my age to know when my rights are being violated, that I need a, a party that's gonna stick up for me? You are telling me that I got to be paid by Donald Trump for me to have a good common sense to know that you Silverstein cannot do censorship by way of public, public speaking. You wanna tell us that we need Donald Trump to pay us, for us to know that we've been coming in here for over a year talking about our issues, our problems to the Democratic party for which you all have done nothing at all about. So we so dis in the brain and so Republican, uh, Democrat led 'cause we black and we gotta stay for black people that we don't have enough sense to stand up for ourselves. That's why you think you can say silly things like what you said this morning. Don't you ever think you can tell us what to talk about? Our plight is on American soul, not another country. What was done to us was on American soil. American soil, not another country. And we can say what we want say about it. You don't like it? Too bad. I don't like the fact that a Jew lawyer is still in my mother's estate. Open your mouth if you want to. I don't care. 'cause I open my mouth. It'll be to as a sergeant of to take you out. It means, it means Nothing. It means nothing. It means nothing. You don't want me to speak on it, call him and tell him to quit stealing from me. Then how about that part? His name is David Felman. David Felman. Call him and Tell me what to do. Next Speaker. Next speaker. Zoe Lee. Yes. He's now, Like I've always said, if we are going speak about the Holocaust, we going to definitely never forget about slavery because slavery was here. So at the end of the day, we cannot sit here and ignore, like slavery was never here. And then only concentrate on Holocaust. Okay? So keep that same energy. Now they both over there fighting for some land. That's really what it's about. Just like I'm fighting for land right here in America, right here in, on the south side of Chicago, at the city of Chicago buildings department with the help of these corrupt, uh, uh, alderman at the time. Latasha Thomas, uh, Terry Peterson. And then, you know, I got blank man. David Moore is the alderman now that let my, let them knock down my building and can't get any help. So to sit here and think that I'm coming here because the Republican party is paying me is crazy. Okay? That's, that's, that's not even close to it. I said last year, maybe about maybe two months prior to this in August, I said I was in Georgia when they flipped that state blue. I said, if the city of Chicago does not settle my mother's case, I will flip this state red. Okay? Because that's the only thing that's probably going to get to y'all. It's to let y'all know that this state can be flipped red by way of enough black Chicagoans to vote red. And that's what I'm on. And that's been my mission. Trump can't pay me enough. No one can't pay me enough. This goes by way of y'all disrespecting my mother. Okay? That's what it was. That's what it is. And I, and I, and I think that y'all would do the same thing if somebody just went and knocked down y'all building and have yet to compensate you and then try to lie and say it was building violations. When we have all the paperwork, including a voicemail from the city of Chicago. That's the problem. So I technically own the city. Like I said, my mother, my mother's suing for $3 billion. And that, you know, at the end of the day, and we're not going to settle, we're not gonna settle. 'cause at the end of the day, you guys have been doing this for forever. That's what it is. It's been a racket. Y'all still are property. Y'all still our property. And this is by way of the Democratic party. That's why our community still look the way they look in 2024. So that's why I'm out here because it doesn't make any sense why our communities still look like this when we have these many black people in, in, in, in Congress for that's represen that's supposed to be representing us. And we have been voting like this for 60 years. This doesn't make any sense. So what I see is that the city of Chicago needs to flip red and then the next two years we can concentrate on getting y'all outta office. Next speaker is Taiwan Sims. You can tell me when you're ready, chairwoman. Ready? Oh, hey, how's it going guys? You have such, um, heritage pride at being a Jewish woman, right? Because you were finna argue hall off the mic, but you don't want to hear the word Jew. It seems used. I can, I can um, kind of get that from the last three times. You just try to cut people off from using it. A word that describes what, but I'm a black American here in the city of Chicago dealing with an issue that I brought to this committee right here. Two 3D seven nine. 5 9 7 is a case that I'm dealing with my small child. My child is a black American. His name Yas Roosevelt Sims. I'm dealing with a, a criminal over here named Deanna Williamson in a clerk's office, which y'all have power over, which y'all not using it for me. Y'all not not gonna use it for me, right? Silverstein, because I'm a black American. You could care less about my child or me. That's why y'all get upset when we speak at this mic because to address openly the issue, right? Don't look, look here, come, you wanna walk up here, Burnett, where I'm from, the Henry Horner projects, my grandmother named Annie Sims. That man that stand out there old is my uncle. I'm 44 years old. I was raised up in the north side though. That's why my diction like this. But I still harbor every which way that's in me. I promise you. Back to you lady chairwoman. When is y'all gonna address this issue with my child and this woman over here that's abusing the public in her capacity? She the manager of the clerk's office over there in domestic relations. I have not seen my child in almost now three years, two and a half years, let's say that. I'm not sure because I'm crazy about it. But because we don't cry, scream and holler at y'all. Beg, kneel before y'all. We don't get no relief, right? S Silverstein, look at me. 'cause I want y'all to look at me. I'm not gonna cry before you, but I want you to hear me. I want you to understand that me screaming at that fat dog Irving over there, when Emma midst opened her mouth and said what needed to be said about that 70 million that y'all appropriated to other people, but my nation and our neighborhood still going into the despair and hurt and hardship. Y'all think I gotta respect somebody to disrespect me. My court job lead me in that sense. I be ready to punch somebody in they face. But y'all gonna say that's threatening. But the threat is the pack. The people that got the power that don't address your issues. The threat is the people that we elected to take care of us. That's not taking care of us. That's the threat. The people that ultimately had the power, not me, not the man speaking up about what's being about being abused, about being mistreated, misrepresented, right? I'm just saying you got so much pride. What about pride for the people? What about having a pride for your representative? Power your automatic power? What about pride for the constituents? What about pride for me and my child? And you doing your job and y'all doing y'all jobs? Enough is enough. Man, You three minutes is up. That con that concludes our public comment. That concludes, that concludes our public speakers. Thank you to all of you today. Um, before we start on today's agenda, I just want to, uh, take a moment. Uh, this is a very hard day for me today and my heart is aching. Um, one year ago today, Hamas, an internationally known terrorist organization, came to to Israel and and murdered 1,200 innocent Israelis. They raped and mutilated women and took over 250 people as hostage. I will have you removed Right? Sergeant of arms. Could you have them taken out? Yes. Well out. Not trying to be I'm not going, don't tell us what wet talk about. Tell us what we can't talk about, but we do wanna tell us what we can't talk about. It's been, it's been seven years. It's been seven years since the city my family building. And Can you please clear the clear that you Thank you. This committee will have respect and quiet when others are talking. So if you cannot do that, we will ask you to leave. Committee will be recessed for two minutes. As I was saying one year ago today, Hamas, an internationally known terrorist, came into Israel, murdered 1200 innocent people, raped women, took over 250 people hostage. It was a terrible, terrible day for my people in my country and for the world. And here we are a year later and we still have 101 hostages in captivity. The Jewish community just celebrated Rosh Hashanah last week. And we will be observing Yom Kipper this weekend. And it's during this time that we pray for a good year, a healthy and a happy, and a sweet New Year. And this year we are also paying praying for peace. If we could please have a moment of silence. Thank you. We will now start with today's Aden agenda. We have 13 items on the agenda today. The first item on the agenda is the approval of the Rule 45 report for September, 2024, which were sent out to the committee, alderman Lawson. Um, will you approve the rule 45 reports? All in favor say aye. Any opposed in the opinion of the chairs? The ayes have it. The reports are approved. Second item on the agenda is oh 2 0 2 4 dash 0 0 1 1 2 0 3. An ordinance to amend Section nine of the Municipal Code of Chicago regarding restrictions on operating of petty caps in the third ward, alderman Dowells Ward, the chair recognizes Alderman Dowell. Good morning committee. Thank you. Um, Madam Chairman, um, this committee has already approved a previous ordinance that restricted petty cabs from Roosevelt Road to 18th Street, uh, between Michigan and, uh, the lakefront. I'm asking that this, uh, amendment go to 22nd Street because what I am seeing in real time is, uh, petty cabs bisecting, or going around the district to come in from the south side of the of the ward. Um, the reason that this is important is because at 18th and Calume, I have the 18th Street Pedestrian bridge, which takes people over to Soldier Field. And what we're experiencing in the community is the petty cabs, uh, lining up, uh, uh, staging and, uh, driving through the residential neighborhood there. So I ask for your support in this amendment to the municipal code. Any questions? Alderman Lawson has a question. Uh, thank you Madam Chair. Uh, I worked on this ordinance many, many years ago. We have, uh, similar situation around Wrigley. Um, I know Alban Riley was here at the time too. Um, so are they able to use Roosevelt to access Soldier Field or what, what is sort Of that road? They can use Roosevelt Road. Okay. But they cannot come south of Roosevelt Road and use streets like Indiana, Michigan, uh, Calume Prairie to run through the neighborhood. Great. We've also tried to do some petty cab loading zones with Nick's success we can talk about later. But, uh, definitely, uh, appreciate the need to do this and we'll make the motion if no one else has any questions. Thank you. Alder Lawson moves to pass. All in favor say aye. Any opposed? And the opinion of the chair, the ayes have at the motion is passed. Thank you. Next we have, um, item oh 2 0 2 4 dash 0 0 1 24 24. An ordinance to amends section four dash six zero dash 0 2 3 of the Municipal Code of Chicago to disallow additional packaged good license on portions of EW Inc. Avenue and Alderman Chico's Ward chair recognizes Alderman Vice Chair Chico. Thank you Madam Chair. Uh, this was lifted to have seven 11 sell, um, packaged goods a year ago. Just looking to close out the, uh, put it back in place. Any questions by committee Alderman Wags pack moves to pass. All in favor say aye. Any nos and the opinion of the cheers the ayes have at the motion is passed. We'd also like to recognize Alder Woman Nugent. Next on the agenda is I number 4 0 2 0 2 4 dash 0 1 2 2 0 3. An ordinance to amend the Municipal Code of Chicago lifting subsection four dash six 12.28. Can I see 2 8 6 to allow the issuance of additional package goods license on portion of Archer Avenue and Alder person Ramirez's Ward, the 12th Ward. The chair recognizes Billy Drew. Uh, good morning Chairwoman Silverstein. I'm members of the Committee on License and Consumer Protection. My name is William Drew, chief of staff for Twelvefold Alderman, uh, Julio Ramirez. I'm here on her behalf to testify in support of item number O 2024 dash 0 0 1 2 2 0 3 in ordinance to amend the Municipal Code of Chicago lifting subsection four dash 6 0 2 3 0.286 to allow for the issuance of additional packaged goods licenses and the portions of Archer Avenue. Uh, the reason for this ordinance is to allow for the Jewel Grocery Store located at 36 44 South Archer Avenue to file for a change of officers on their existing license. Uh, as many of you know, the licensee jewel for Jewel Food Stores Inc. Uh, slash American Drugstores, LLC, and their parent company, Albertson's Company Inc. Is part of a corporate merger involving the Kroger company and Albertson Companies Inc. Once completed the merger will result in a change, uh, to the ultimate ownership of the licensee, which will necessitate the filing of a change of officers, uh, with BACP. Uh, please note that the change of officers will not, uh, will result in no changes to the licensee itself or the day-to-Day business operations of the licensee. Uh, the current management team will remain unchanged and the location will continue to offer a full range of grocery, pharmacy, and other consumer items. We ask for your favorable consideration on this item. Thank you. Any Alderman Conrad? It's, it's my understanding that the Federal Trade Commission is trying to block this merger, which is why I've asked for the similar, uh, stuff in, in the 34th Ward to be held. I believe that applies here. Uh, Mr. Drew, but any response to that or anything like that? Um, no, I wasn't aware of that. Um, so Do we have any objections? I you're objecting? Uh, yeah, I I guess I'm not objecting. I I I think it probably makes more sense for us to hold this to find out what's, what's, uh, going on. But I Okay. Prefer to the committee on that. Um, we will, without, without trying to be, Since you're, since you're holding yours, we're gonna hold this one as well. I can't, do we have So, and, and please, please correct me. 'cause the last thing I wanna do is jam up something that's not in my ward. But the, the reason we're, the reason the, the, the license is, is being asked for today, it's my understanding is because of the Kroger Albertsons merger, which the Federal Trade Commission's trying to block. So it may not actually go through in the first place. Hold for one second, please. Yeah, I would, Can you make a motion to hold? Yeah, I'd like to make a motion to hold this matter. Madam Chairwoman. All in favor? Aye. Any objections? This matter will be held. Thank you. We'll move on to item 5 0 2 0 2 4 0 20 0. An ordinance to amend section four dash six zero dash 0 22 and four dash six zero dash 23 of the Municipal Code of Chicago to disallow additional alcoholic liquor licenses and package goods license in a portion of the 16th ward. Is Alderwoman Coleman here or anyone here? Nobody here. So we will come back and see if somebody from Alderman Coleman's office will be here. We'll move on to item six, which is oh 2 0 24 0 1 1 2 7 4. An ordinance to amend the municipal code of Chicago, designating the 10th precinct of the 23rd Ward as restricted residential zone prohibiting additional shared housing and vacation rental and Alder Woman to Paris' Award. The 23rd Ward chair recognizes Alder. Oh, we do have a substitute. Alderman Wax spec, uh, moves to recognize a sub substitute. All in favor say aye. Any opposed in the opinion of the, the ayes have it. The substitute is before us and the chair recognizes Wo tobar. Thank you chairwoman. This, this ordinance is to ban cannabis dispensaries on the 23rd ward on the Archer Avenue Corridor and the Garfield Ridge neighborhood. We collected 25% of signatures from registered voters in that precinct. Uh, received great support from this community and just asking for members of the committee to, for their support. Any questions? Alderman Wabe moves to pass. All in favor? Any opposed in the opinion of the chair? The ayes have at the motion is passed And we have another ordinance, two ordinances on Altman Tobar Ward oh 2 0 2 4 0 1 2 1 3 3 and oh 2 0 2 4 0 0 1 2 7 5. These two ordinance will amend the Municipal Code of Chicago designating precincts of the 23rd Ward as restricted cannabis zones. We have another substitute ordinance. We have two substitute ordinances. Um, alderman Riley makes a motion to recognize both of the substitutes. All in favor say aye. Any opposed? And the opinion of the chairs. The ayes have it. The substitute ordinances are before us and the chair once again recognizes all woman to bar us. Thank you, chairwoman. Just like with Precinct 10, uh, we also banned Precinct four in the 23rd ward from Future Canvas dispensaries from coming into this corridor on Archer Avenue. Um, again, we collected 25% of registered voters in this precinct received overwhelmingly support from the residents, um, allowing us to put this ordinance into band. So just ask, uh, favorability from members of the committee. Alwin Reilly, uh, any questions? Alderman Reilly moves to pass all in favors, say aye. Any opposed? Any opinion of the chair? The ayes have it. Thank you. Congratulations. Item eight and item nine are going to be held. And then we are going to move on to item 10, which is oh 2 0 2 4 dash 0 1 2 2 2. An ordinance to amend the municipal Code of Chicago lifting subsection four dash six 9.63 to allow the issuance of additional package good licenses on a portion of North Pulaski and Alderwoman Nugent 39th Ward, the chair recognizes Alderwoman Nugent. Thank you. And good morning Madam Chairwoman. Uh, I met with Shai Town Food and Liquor at 5,200 North Pulaski. Discuss their plans for expansion and their physical footprint into an adjacent storefront. Uh, to do this, the moratorium must be lifted to allow for changes to their liquor license. The applicant also met with the local community group, the North Mayfair Improvement Association, who is also supportive of this. Uh, please note, I have no objection to lifting this moratorium and would ask for your favorable consideration. Thank you. Any questions? Alderman? osha, um, moves to pass. All in favor? Aye. Any opposed in the opinion of the chair? The ayes have it. The motion is passed. Moving on to item 11 0 2 0 2 4 dash 0 0 1 2 4 1 9. An ordinance to amend the municipal Code of Chicago lifting subsection four dash 6 0 23 0.605 to allow the issuance of additional package good licenses on a portion of State Street and Alderman Riley's 42nd Ward. The chair recognizes Alderman Riley And actually Madam Chair, it's to disallow. Um, what we're doing here is we're replacing a moratorium that was lifted to allow Dom's, um, market to open in a former whole food space at 30 West Huron. Um, but in light of, uh, Dom's announcement that they closed all their stores back in April, uh, the space remains vacant. And so therefore we want to reinstate the moratorium that has been, um, protecting this particular corner from bad actors. So with that, I'd appreciate, and I vote Thank you for the Think Itally noticed improperly on the agenda, but it's, it's, it's intended to, uh, to impose not to remove Any questions. Vice Chair Chico moves to pass. All in favor? Aye. Any opposed? The opinion of the chairs? The aye have at the motion is passed. Item number 12 is oh 2 0 2 4 dash 0 1 2 4 2. An ordinance to amend the municipal code of Chicago lifting subsection four dash six zero dash 2 3 2 1 9 to allow the issuance of additional packaged good licenses on a portion of Ohio Street. Again in Alderman Riley's 42nd Ward Chair recognizes Alderman Riley. Thank you Madam Chairwoman. Um, given that we are holding, um, other, uh, morial ordinances related to the Kroger Albertson proposed merger, um, I would ask that the committee also hold this item until we get some, uh, clear guidance from the FTC on, uh, their opposition to that, uh, that merger. Uh, thank you Madam Chair. Thank you. This item will be held. And lastly, oh 2 0 2 4 dash 0 1 2 3 8 4. An ordinance to amend section four dash 1 6 0 of the municipal code extending repeal date of Wrigley Plaza Ordinance to February 1st, 2028. Uh, in Alderman Lawson's 44th Ward, the chair recognizes Alderman Lawson. Uh, thank you Madam Chair. Uh, this is a pretty simple ordinance when it comes to Wrigley. Uh, we're extending, uh, the, the Sports Plaza ordinance, which was unique to Wrigley, but can be applied at every large sports venue. Um, has had a sunset throughout its life. Uh, and we've made tweaks to the ordinance, uh, a few times. Uh, this time we're just, uh, extending it. Baseball may be over, but there's still a lot of fun to be had around the ballpark, uh, especially this fall and winter. So, uh, with that, I would, uh, be happy to answer any questions and appreciate my colleague support. Are there any question? Alderman Cardona moves to pass. All in favor say aye. Any nos The opinion of the chairs? The ayes have it. The motion is passed and we are, um, going to go back very quickly to item number five. I believe Alderwoman Coleman is here virtually. Thank you, chairman. I am. So I, we first need a motion to allow her to be, um, heard on virtual and be part of the quorum. Uh, alderman Spto makes that motion. All in favor? Any opposed? Um, you are now, um, included in the roll call for Quorum Alderman Coleman. I'm gonna just reread it again. It's oh 2 0 2 4 dash 0 0 1 20 0. An ordinance to amend section four dash six zero dash 0 22 and four dash six zero dash 0 23 of the Municipal Code of Chicago to disallow additional alcoholic liquor licenses and package good licenses. And a portion of the 16th ward chair recognizes Alderwoman Coleman. Thank you so much to Chairman Silverstein and, uh, my esteemed colleagues. I asked for your favorable support, uh, in inheriting, uh, new parts of now the new 16th Ward. Uh, like Alderman Riley, we just wanna prevent from bat actors to enter our, uh, community without notice. Any questions about Committee? Alden? Wax back makes a motion to pass. All in favor, say aye. Any opposed the opinion of the chairs? The ayes have it. The motion is passed. Thank you. This concludes the agenda of the committee on licensed. The past matters will be reported as a recommendation to pass at the next city council on October 9th, 2024. There being no further business before the committee. Can I get a motion to adjourn? Alderman Spto makes a motion to adjourn hearing. No objections. So order at the meeting is adjourned. Thank you.
