# Terms and support

- **License**: data and text are CC BY 4.0. Cite Chicago Politics and link to the page (every record's `links.page`). Source records come from the City of Chicago and the State of Illinois.
- **Fair use**: stay within your limits, cache what you can, and use the bulk files for full copies instead of paging through everything.
- **Privacy**: we never publish donor street addresses, emails, or phone numbers. Don't use the data to contact or target private individuals.
- **AI content**: AI-written fields can be wrong. Check them against the linked source records before you rely on them.
- **Support**: email hello@chicagopolitics.org with questions, bugs, data corrections, or limit requests. Corrections can also go through [POST /contributions](https://www.chicagopolitics.org/developers/api/contribute-data).
